Dirty school yard rhymes – a history

Some rhymes

Posted on December 9th, 2009 by superadmin

Stop, move back
You need a tic tac
Not a tic not a tac
But you need the whole pack
Helen Huck; Kennesaw, GA

My mother taught me an old cheer to taunt opposing teams:

Strawberry shortcake, banana split,
Your team plays like a bucket of–
Shift to the left, shift to the right,
Stand up, sit down, fight fight fight!
Helen Huck; Kennesaw, GA

When you’re sittin’ on the john
and the toilet paper’s gone
Be a man! Use your hand!

  1. 24-34…I don’t know the stupid score
The sun – up there – is bleaching out my perfect hair
    Go team! Fight! Fight!
Gee, I hope I look all right!

(Sung to make fun of ditzy cheerleaders…early 90’s)
