Steamboat had a bell,
Lulu pulled the wrong cord…and blew them all to…
HELL-o operator, give me #9, if you disconnect me, I’ll kick you in the…
HIND the fridgerator, there was a piece of glass, Lulu slipped and fell on it and bust’ her little…
ASSk me no more questions, tell me no more lies, Lulu’s up in heaven, a shootin” German spies!

  1. Miss Susie had a steam boat, the steamboat had a bell.
    Miss Susie went to heaven and the steamboat went to hell-o operator, please dial number 9, and if you disconnect me I will chop off your be-hind the fridegerator there was a piece of glass. Miss Susie stepped upon it and broker her little ass-k me no more questions, please tell me no more lies. The boys are in the bathroom zipping up their flies are in the meadow, the bees are in their hives. Miss Susie and her boyfriend are k-i-s-s (repeated) k-i-s-s-i-n-g!

  2. Your ending doesn’t rhyme-I learned it with the beginning saying Miss Lu-Lu had a steamboat……….
    then it was all the same until the end …the bees are in the park, Miss Lu-Lu and her boyfriend are kissing in the dark, dark, dark

  3. The last part I knew was….
    Miss Suzie had 2 boyfriends who both were very rich..one was a son of a sailor man the other was a son of a BIT my finger bit my toe that’s the way the story goes.

  4. we sang it like this in Vancouver BC in the 90s. I think we also skipped rope to it sometimes.

    miss mary had a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell, miss mary went to heaven, the steamboat went to hello operator please give me number nine and if you disconnect me, I’ll kick you from behind the yellow curtain there was a piece of glass miss mary sat upon it, it went right up her ass-k me no more questions, please tell me no more lies, the boys are in the bathroom zipping up their flies are in the city, the bees are in the park, boys and girls are kissing in the D-A-R-K dark, is like a movie, a movie’s like a show a show is like a tv screen and that is all I know, I know my mother, I know I know my pa, I know I know my sister with the 80 meter (or alligator) bra-ther’s like a sister, a sister’s like an aunt, an aunt is like a relative who likes to rave and rant.

Boys are in the bathrooms, zipping up their FLIES are in the cities, bees are in the park. Miss Susie and her boyfriend are kissing in the dark, dark, dark. The dark is like a movie, a movie’s like a show. A show is like a television, that is all I know. I know I know my ma, I know I know my pa. I know I know my sister with the forty dollar, forty dollar, forty dollar bra.
